help me please! im a noob to cockers...

so i just bought a little package from a guy with a fishbone body a single finger frame and some other stuff, and i got some questions.

1. where you take out the cocking rod and adjust your velocity is not threaded for the brass part that you use an allen to adjust the velocity. do i need to get that threaded? or is there just a different kind of part i can use?...

2. theres no place to screw my reg in, am i missing something?..

3. i put the single finger frame on my 04 prostock, and when i cock it the cocking rod only actually cocks about 1/4 of the time... any suggestions?..

here are pics of the body, the frame, the front block i got with the body, the front block for my prostock, and the rest of the package. any one know why it wont possibly work? and i was wondering if the front block from my prostock would work on that body... thanks guys. and please no flaming.. im a noob to cockers

1. Uh, I have no idea. SOL?
2. The silver thing:

Should go into the hole on the left:

3. The sear on the trigger frame is either too short, or maybe the spring is too soft. If you want it to work on your prostock, you'll have to re-time it by screwing the hammer lug so it sticks out farther to catch the sear.

It's a mini body. The silver ASA thing fits into the hole in the bottom side of your front block. The hole in the forward part of your main body is the frame screw hole. And it sure looks like it's all or partially stripped out.

Normally the brass thing goes in the back like you suspected. But since the tube is so thin it won't carry the threading you need for the IVG. Instead you probably need to use a pre-2K that used a different system. Don't ask me what they look like but I gather it's some form of cup for the spring that's pinched to lock it by the rear frame screw or the beavertail screw. I've only read about them so I can't add any more. But I'm sure someone will.

THat's a nice looking body. It'll be well worth the trouble to fix it up. I understand that bonding of the tubes can be an issue and leaks are common but they more than make up for it with the looks when they are working right.

you need a rex dialer kit for the ivg (velocity adjuster)
you cannot tap it for the brass ivg style, it will ruin the tube.
the lug needs to be turned in clockwise a bit and it should cocker more reliably.

that is has nothing do do with the frame. ebay and wtb threads are your best methods of finding a rex dialer kit..

Would this work instead of an IVG?
http://www.akalmp.com/misc.html (scroll down to "HAMMER KITS")

The part on the left side of the spring is a hammer with nylon set screws.
I think the part to the right might be retained by the beaver tail screw.
If anyone knows for sure, feel free to chime in.

it will work, but it appears to be the non adjustable type. it has a couple of threaded holes at different depths for the beavertail to screw into. so fine tuning adjustments are much more difficult. but it will definitly do what your looking for..
