Need a good lens for Olympus C7070

I'm looking for a good lens to shoot sports with, but I was only able to find two Olympus lenses that fit this camera. I ended up buying a cheap aftermarket 2.0X fisheye lens but I don't like it at all.

Can anyone recommend some good lenses that would fit this camera?

The lense on the camera is actually quite good, for what it is... a standard zoom PnS.

You don't have the option to add quality lenses to its existing fixed lense. Yes, there are add-ons available. No, they will not be what you need for shooting sports.

The good news is that you own one of the better prosumer PnS's that was on the market. You can get a fairly decent price on it on ebay if you ever decide to sell. Personally, I'd keep it, there really isn't much, if anything, on the market thats as good as that camera in its genre(standard zoom PnS). Don't be fooled into thinking this camera, while great, will be worth a **** for sports.

Thanks for your comments on the camera. I heard it was good when I bought it but I haven't been able to take any great pictures with it yet .. I need to do some reading to better understand photography concepts. I can rarely take a decent indoor shot with this camera.

Anyway, I bought the camera for $350. If I can e-bay it for at least that much, can you recommend any cheap SLRs I can buy?

Film SLRs? Sure...

Digital, not new, used... maybe... but you aren't looking at getting a quality lense, if any at all.

That camera is capable of taking fine pictures, you are the limiting factor. Switch that thing into Manual mode and start learning a bit about photography.

Yeah, it looks like that's what I'll have to do. The biggest problem I have with manual mode is the settings for aperture and shutter speed. The camera won't let me use certain combinations of values for each. In those cases, the pictures come out way too dark or motion blurred.

Like most zoom lenses, especially fixed ones, the aperture isn't constant. More zoom means smaller maximum aperture.
