advice on these front ends

need you opinion on these front ends, thinking of putting one on a pump ( turn in to mech cocker)

I would stay away from the evil front end, they don't have too much experience with cockers and I don't its very good. I have not used the set up though, so thats just a prediction. CCM is a pretty solid aftermarket brand, I've nver used that front end either, but I'd bet its top performance.

My advice? order an orracle front end.

I would buy indepent parts from different companies.
3 way = bomb, hollowpoint, or palmers
lpr = there are only a few that are terrible.
Ram = eclipse, 44 mag, moody, evolution, mp3, I hear palmers is good now..
in that order too..

If you want all one company, I would go with either belsales or palmers..

I really liked my orracle LPR it was consistent, light, and overall very easily adjusted.

I've always liked palmers quikrams...ive got an older one on my merlin and its just as good as the new ones

I have only owned 1 older one. when I switched it out with a 44 mag, it was like I had a different cocker. But I got it used on a cocker I bought. so who knows the hell it could have went through, lol.

yeah, it's gonna take a 9/16"-24 tap and a 33/64" drill. The best prices and easiest place to find both is prolly on amazon if you don't have access at work/school or cheap tool catalogs.

edit: be careful to get everything centered and squared and don't go too far in or you could hit the front trigger frame screw and that would cause drastic leakage, I think you can go about 3/4" in on a mini, so that would be like an inch further on a full size body.
