So I have this friend.

The other day we got on the topic of religion and I told her my views on God and creationism. She took it as I dont believe in God. (btw what I think is hard to explain) Anyway, she got all worked up and imediately said that I had to take her to the book-store. So I do and se says to wait out-side. I do, and she comes back with, you guessed it, a Bible. She shoves it in my chest and says "Until you read this and give your life to God, we can NEVER hang out again... Take me home." The part I dont get about this is that before she knew my beliefs, she was fine, said I was cute and funny, and wanted to meet up again, but suddenly NO NOT NOW... How can someone who claims to love everyone sooooo much, be like this to someone they claim to care about so much just mins. earlier?

I would have kicked her out of the car and made her walk home. People like that are hypocrites and not worth your time or effort. Forget about her as she is a waste and a judgemental idiot.

It would be the same as a friend who dumps you for saying you don't do meth. Just forget her.

wow, there are soo many people like that. either you must conform to them...or get lost. its a shame when an otherwise decent person ruins themselves like that.

While I this girl is obviously a bit unaccepting, I think everyone here needs to realize that there are atheists who do the same thing as well. I've known numerous people who really had no interest being friends with someone if they were religious.

It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized
discipline. But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion
on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance.

Really? You have seen an athiest have a friend drive them to a book store, go inside and buy the origin of species, come out and basically throw it at their friend, and then tell them covert or never talk to me again?

Minus the origin of the species, more or less, ya.

What she did wasn't necessary. I would never do that to one of my friends... ever. The next time you see her, casually remind her that Jesus was with prostitutes, witches, gamblers, tax collectors, and all kinds of people who didn't believe. If I can find the verse where Jesus talks about how He didn't come to save Christians; He came to seek the lost, I'll post it.

No reason to prophesize. We are all aware of the story.

Do you realize what "prophecy" means? Do you realize "prophesize" isn't a word? I'm almost positive there's at least one person who hasn't heard it. I didn't ask for your input, so it wasn't necessary.

Exactly.

Just tell her you won't force your beliefs down her throat if she doesn't force her's down yours. Thank her for caring, but tell her she is going about it all wrong...
