The other day we got on the topic of religion and I told her my views on God and creationism. She took it as I dont believe in God. (btw what I think is hard to explain) Anyway, she got all worked up and imediately said that I had to take her to the book-store. So I do and se says to wait out-side. I do, and she comes back with, you guessed it, a Bible. She shoves it in my chest and says "Until you read this and give your life to God, we can NEVER hang out again... Take me home." The part I dont get about this is that before she knew my beliefs, she was fine, said I was cute and funny, and wanted to meet up again, but suddenly NO NOT NOW... How can someone who claims to love everyone sooooo much, be like this to someone they claim to care about so much just mins. earlier?

While I this girl is obviously a bit unaccepting, I think everyone here needs to realize that there are atheists who do the same thing as well. I've known numerous people who really had no interest being friends with someone if they were religious.

Really? You have seen an athiest have a friend drive them to a book store, go inside and buy the origin of species, come out and basically throw it at their friend, and then tell them covert or never talk to me again?

The next time you see her, casually remind her that Jesus was with prostitutes, witches, gamblers, tax collectors, and all kinds of people who didn't believe. If I can find the verse where Jesus talks about how He didn't come to save Christians; He came to seek the lost, I'll post it.

well she shouldnt stop hanging out with you like that, i was accepted in Christ Krew for a while and im a nooby christian, although i acted like i was not they didnt shove the bible down my throat and try to make me read ti though call your friend and just talk to her
