So how much would a small compressor run me?
Simple question..... how much would a small compressor run me?
Not many people around here with HPA tank so just a small one for like 5 people would survice.

if it's only going to be 5 people then you might want to look into company's that rent out tanks, and pick/drop off a new tank when your is empty.

Depends on the tank your filling from and the tank you are filling.
If you have a 3 cubic foot scubic tank and a 68 cubic inch paintball tank, you'll get about 8 or 9 fills from it (if I remember correctly from when I was researching this). If you have a smaller paintball tank, obviously you'll get more fills and the same if your scuba tank is larger.

Already looked into that, if I went that route it would cost me $15 a month to rent the tank(or lease it for $90 a year) and $60-80 to get that tank filled.
I think they rent out 500 cu ft tanks.... not sure though.

I'm skrewed in the way of women around here so I guess I'll have to go with that compressor
BTW the funding for this is going to be coming from my house.... it recently burned down and my mother said I could keep the copper(then sell it and buy a car/compressor)'
EDIT: Double post FTL

My friends and I use scuba tanks due to the lack of compressors in our area. we between us have 4 scuba tanks @ 80 Cubic feet a tank. 10 people can go most of a day on 3 scuba's. it costs us $4 per tank to have them refilled. seems ok to me. the other option is to get a gas powered compressor @ $4000... that works out to 1000 scuba fills at current cost.
lets see here, using my 68 ci tank, I get roughly 12-14 good pressure fills per scuba tank... call it 12 just for the sake of a number. roughly .33c per 68 fill. all for a investment of 100 for the tank, and 40 for a fill station from ebay.

I called the place where I can rent the tank.
They said it's a 454 cubic foot tank charged to 4500 PSI.
it's going to cost me $7 a month to rent the tank
it's going to cost $65 to get it filled
How many fills could I get with a 45/45 tank?
how many for a 68/45 tank?
Thanks
Cy

No, it goes up to 4500 psi, you choose that when you choose the tank your using.
The 400-1000 psi is what pressure is in the person's personal tank when they come to get it refilled from your scuba tank.
