ditto on the post above. After watching HFAD, my team decided that an all out team gathering/meeting was necessary, much like the ones in the movie. Two of the players that I could not stand got cut as a result. Thanks HFAD for making my life better

Excellent work. I enjoyed this immensely and have gained even further respect for XSV and all the heart and effort they put out in the game.

This goes high on my list of favorite DVDs.

I loved it. I've watched it twice so far, the first time my friend and I watched it together and over two nights and I was like "eh, it wasn't that great".

Once I actually sat down and watched it straight through the other morning, without any interruptions and without making the stupid commentary my friends and I always make...

I give it a 10. This film captures the essence of competitive paintball and what it takes to compete that the top.

I also didn't know that XSV did that bad at the beginning.

All I have to say is AMAZING! Pat you really out did yourself, this is by far the best documentry I have ever seen. A lot more dedication to the sport and the people then most people do on an average day in their normal lives. Even the slow parts fit in perfect and really set the mood for the team. I especially love the commentary brings even more to light and a whole lot more to learn. Thanks Pat and Bonnie! Definatly been the most influencal movie I have ever seen!

Didnt like it.I was greatly disspointed in the movie. It took me a week to finish it because I got so bored.I knew it wasnt ck but I didnt exdpect it to be so slow from start to finish.Even the segments where it shows action were slow.I doubt ill watch it again.Idk why iam not on it like everyone else maybe im missing something or iam just not forcing myself to like it because its from mwag. But not satisfies :-(.But for the record I do knwo what they were trying to do and what they were trying to capture.I understand the directors point or however you call it.The story the point ect.I know what it was and why its there.but any more than that its not.
Still waiting for ck2 thou.

Personally I believe the movie was highly overrated; it was a good movie, but it did not live up to the hype. I mean don't get me wrong there was some great footage (the one ball to the nutz was classic) but it wasn't as great as it was made up to be, and it def did not deserve its own section.

Ya, every movie needs at least one guy getting kicked or shot in the nuts. Maybe he'll give us two shots to the nads in CK2.

Ya know I'm on the wall about this one. One part of me wants to say, he was going for a certain look and feel for the film but overall the filming doesn't feel as polished as it usually does, there was alot of shaky filming that gave me a head ache. I expected it to be a bit more action (more push esque so to speak) and the thing I'm most disappointed about is the fact that the story isn't complete Pat has been working on this for a long time no doubt, but really to just wrap it up the way he did after xsv won 2 american events? He was in post production During XSV's awesome year, and when the team blew up and went in every direction. How can you really call it "The XSV Story" when the story isn't complete. I think he really should have decided that, "Hey this story isn't over yet, there's alot more going on here that needs to be shown". That and I think alot of the stuff that really would have made it better was just kind of glossed over. The events that people wanted to see what happened weren't shown, Instead we get 4 or 5 segments about the eurpean leagues, I know alot of people wanted to see what happened during that xball match "slay the dragon" and many other things.

Also in this day of HD and everything I was really dissappointed in the film quality. During the 2004 La psp event the filming seemed so crisp and clear and everything else was extremely grainy, whether that was for your look or not I was not really liking it.

You can please all the pepole half of the time and half the people all of the time. Looks like you are the other half.

The shaky filming was used to represent the instability of the team at that point in time. I am sorry you did not get that. There is a lot of deep seeded nuances to this film that not every one is going to get, But the ones that do, tend to appreciated this film immensely.

the stuff that looked grainy is probably the super 8mm film stuff. i personally love that look here and there but its not meant to look like interlaced video.

maddog91:
i know the film can be very jarring in that it isn't CK but it is a story. sit and watch it and discect it. i have found that non paintball people take very well to it because there is actually something to follow.

I'm sorry, I got so into my critical analysis. I forgot to mention I did enjoy the movie, but I really think that I was upset most that the story wasn't finished.

I also understand that it's hard to cover 3 years or stuff in a relatively short movie..and keeping it short enough for people to enjoy but long enough to cover most things.

I watched it the other day, overall I liked it.. moreso after thinking about it throughout the hours and days after viewing.

There could have been more action, but that would take away from the story.

Good job.
