Photography Wiki.
Hey right now I'm just checking to see how much support I would have if I were to do this. I'm considering hosting a wiki off of my website so that we as a forum can pool all of our knowledge together on a searchable and ever-evolving page. I feel this would be helpful for many of our regulars, and especially for newcomers with questions. Currently we have the FAQ thread, but to be honest it kinda sucks.
Thoughts? Opinions? Questions? and most of all.....
Would you contribute?

I wouldn't have anything constructive to contribute, I'm sure.
Maybe thinking outside the box... but then again, you saw my submission, and what comes of my thought process.

Well I'm thinking along with having just technical sections, you would be able to create opinion pages, either with reviews of gear you own, techniques, and whatnot. I just need to look into specifics on exactly how the software works.

It would take a lot of knowledge.

while I'm sure it would be a cool read, most of the people who'd really NEED to read it, wouldn't. They'd just post a question here like... "hey guys, I jus got dis new Kamera and I tooks a pictar wid it and it do not show up on the sceen. Do I need battrees?"

I'm just wondering...
How do you think all that "other info" actually got on the internet?

Sounds like a good idea, best of luck with it. I'd like to help but truth be told the technical aspects of photography don't interest me much.

I haven't been on here in a long time but it sounds like a good idea. I know a lot about landscapes, animal portraits, etc. so I could help.
