JT ProFelx.. why do they do this?
they flip the botttom of the mask up?
reason why they do this to the JT proflex??

Some claim it helps slightly with ventilation, but the little it may help is negligible unless you wear glasses. I wear glasses under my Proflex and it actually keeps them de-fogged for a few extra minutes on a humid day. But I am an extreme case. Folding it up does next to nothing except make you look "agg".
Ths question is more suited for the Masks forum. This is the JT marker forum. Just so you know...

Notice how I have quotes around the word agg. 
I agree. Looks dumb. The only reason I do it is to help keep my breath from fogging up my glasses.

Thats a goofy way to smoke. People usually just stick the cig through one of the vents. They're flexible enough.

I've seen it.. but yah, on hot days i flip my flex up so i can breathe better. And you are much louder.

I have a hole cut in my flex for my cig, so its off the corner of my mouth so i dont have to keep the cig in my mouth the hole time. believe it or not, some ppl still play 2+ hr long games of woodsball. If you smoke you know this is too damn long to go without a fix. I flip mine up when i'm chewing though.

they flip up the bottom of the mask so it is easier to communicate with their team on the field so they mask doesnt muffle thier voice

comuniceation as its already been said...eating/drinking....i do it cuz its a little cooler (heat wise) and cuz my grill or w/e they call the bottom part (i always call em grills even b4 the mask came out) newho the bottom part gets anoying cuz its warped and is a pain in the *** on my chin

flipping it up also makes the grill less flexible so you dont get smacked in the mouth, you only have to flip it up a little bit.

people dont usually play with it flippped (some do). they keep it like that, especially in storage, to prevent it from warping, and to keep it nice and flexy to get more bounces
