Some pics are not mine... but meh...
Pics were taken w/ a $250 Panasonic Cam (DMC-FZ7) Iso 80, Shutter 1/400 - 1/1000 F2.8 -3.3
 
 
 
Thought I'd see what you goobers would say, I film 99% of the time, but I have the camera to take pics for fun...
EDIT: No post processing or anything... I just delete blurry pictures from the album... or ones that dont' show anything...

For future reference, if you're making a photo thread, post your own photos. Not anyone elses...on the picutres they are nothing special. Most of them are pretty dull. The angle in number 2 is kinda weak, and you cut off parts of the other players, it kinda bugs me. 3, it's a pod.....4 the depth of field is interesting i guess. 6 seems to just be a snapshot. keep trying though.
Edit: forgot to mention they could do with processing in photoshop....

The pod picture is something you would only get away with if your a vet and it looks better then that one. It is ONLY a pod, but you can make it photographic in a sense. You don't have it, nor the ability yet to do that, so it comes off as a cliche shot.
The players mask is also a very very overdone shot as well, and its something that I as well as many members of this forum (many paint ball shooters) would tell you to stray away from as this group of individuals see paint ball shots on a constant basis.
Keep working, don't see a need for any professional gear yet.

All the pictures I posted are mine... I gave the camera to a kid to take some pictures... (Start of Gallery 2 is not mine...)
And honestly, I'm not trying to be a photographer... I grabbed a camera and started taking pictures... I film and make videos..
For not trying, I think they're half-decent pictures, mainly just meant for the players in the pictures (I know 99% of the people I'm taking pictures of)

I have three things to say.
One, the excuse that you "weren't trying" is the lamest BS slung by mankind. If you weren't trying, you wouldn't have gone to the trouble of taking the pictures, putting them on your computer, uploading them, selecting a few to showcase, and then creating a new thread. If you're proud of them, that's fine, but don't claim they're not great because you weren't trying.
Two, see title. You weren't lying.
Three, if you want to develop as a photographer, pick a few of your absolute best shots, and show them. When you take better ones, get rid of the ones in your group that you show, and don't look back. That's how you improve your body of work.

Haha, I do what I want... my friend told me he wasn't going to bother posting pics here because of how people critique them... and he IS a much better photographer w/ a lot more money invested into his equipment...

Well you do what you want but don't come here and make excuses after posting pictures that people critiqued harshly.
Also I can't say anything about your friend but photography is like paintball, the gear doesn't make the man...it helps though. If he doesn't post in here thats fine, but the critique you get in here when your pictures are worth it is very insightful.

Haha, do you think I'm trying to be a photographer?
I've been playing for 6 years... I barely have any photographs or videos to remember that for... I'm doing what no one else would do, I'll take pictures until someone better comes along and wants to do it, until then I'm taking pictures so people have something to remember this **** by... Mainly filming/editing cause I'm better at that  |
