the swiss cheese thing didnt take much weight off. it looked kinda cool but it wasnt worth it. the inner parts are still swiss cheesed though to take a little weight off of them.

dont forget to clean up that back cut with some files or something. its still a little rough.

The port is taped, the sidewinder is under the body.. But I positioned it that way to get the look of it.. Not the best thing, I'm with you.

Once the trigger is done, I should have completed my new year's project.

What dremel bit did you use to bore out the metal out of the body?

That's pretty much all I used for my gripframe/tray/body diet.. I tried other bits, but those, especially the one on the right, were the tools to use. But be carefull.. I ****ed up on my last hidden cut, the dremel thing that holds the bit slacked slowly, and the bit got slowly inside, getting shorter, and the rotating head of the dremel touched the body At least it's on the edge against the tray/gripframe assembly so it's not a lot visible.

noo
edit: I'm trying to find a good background for the pic and my space is way to overstock..
edit2: I'm sure you recognize the trigger style.. I left the spring socket on this one, 3.5g total, goes well with a 80g switch. I'll probably give it to my friend who's on a 25g switch and snatch back my first one that is 2.25g..

The bad profile:

The booty pics:

I'll probably put the dust black UL back with that gloss black tip, and put on a black gloss discoloured sidewinder too, we'll see.

Nice. So do you know approximately how much weight you took off? And did you do anything to the frame?

Frame I got 2oz+ out, tray almost 3/4oz out, for at least 2oz3/4 on that assembly. Toptube, probably 1oz+ out, as the 2 pieces of the hacksaw cut weight about 3/4oz. Back and front hidden cuts, anywhere between 1/2oz-1oz I'd say. The bolt and trigger, 1/4oz.. So let's say something around 5oz got out of it overall.
