Uh...read the label on the tub of Vaseline. Put two and two together and you have your answer.

not 100% what your talking about but any lube that says dow33 on it is the right kind to use on guns. Other lubes are bad to use.

read the manuel , go to the cocker forums, search on google...... any paintball formulated lube is gennerly good, some will casue swelling of the o rings but u should replace those often anyways..

KY Jelly gives me the best friction coefficient.

Dow 33 or Dow 55 for O-Rings. Don't use anything else, it messes up the O-Rings and makes them swell and get all hard.

Petroleum based products and pressure are not a good match. I have heard (rumored) that in rare cases, they can combust, like when being used in air tanks.

Yeah, because in a tank the oils/greases can be subject to pressures in excess of 4500 psi, that's why you don't lube your tank regulator. Inside a gun, where the pressures are only a fraction of that, it should be fine. Vaseline will work, but it would be better to get a nice paintball specific lubricant. For your mech Cocker, just put some Gold Cup or KC oil on the o-rings and you'll be fine.

gold cup ftw!

Gold cup, KC oil, SP Sleek/evil Puss, Dye, any lube that is paintball formulated. I used back in the day (wednesday) shocker lube but they stoped making that and call it sleek now.

Use pure silicon oil for O-Rings. It will preserve and maintain your O-Rings.
