What color is the reg? Like the sticker that goes around it. Also it won't hurt if it is lp, you might get some shootdown though.... But if you have a lp only gun and a hp tank that will hurt it.

well all i see is a black sticker w/ silver writing that says crossfire...idk if thats wat u mean. The only reason why I'm asking this is bc i just got a proto and i already have a nitro tank from my previous gun. I still dont know whether or not an lp tank will hurt it.

Protos are low pressure guns. So it does not matter. It will not harm your gun. I do not know about crossfires color pressure thing so I will be ASSUMING its hp.

Nope. As with any lp gun with a lp tank there is a slight chance with little drop off

ya i was about to say that in the manaul it says to use hp tanks from 400-850 psi...and since u said that it was alright using an lp tank on an hp gun i'll try it later and ask the shop what they think.

Thanks guys

the 3K crossifre tanks are HP unless it has a LP sticker on it (which im not even sure they make the 3K tanks in LP).

Protos really aren't HP markers. The only real HP markers nowadays are blowbacks. They're LP, but function better on HP. They'd function best on an adjustable tank, but those are expensive.

put the tank on a spyder or a spyder clone.
if the gun first consisently then it is a Hp tank.

i really dont think HP tank into a LP gun will do any damage. b/c all i have are HP tanks. and i can shoot any one of my egos and then take off the tank and hook it up to one of my timmys and its fine.

so idk about PMs but with timmys HP tank doesnt effect it at all.

It won't affect it because the HPR will regulate the input pressure down to a safe pressure that the marker can use. So, as long as you have a HPR that can function with higher input pressures, you cause use a HP tank on anything you want.

Would run HP on a proto. Most guns are HP. I would also assume the tank is HP.

proto markers can run off hp or lp air, theres no specific air for the marker it can use either at ur choice...
