i have the choice between buying two flexes, one with blue bottoms and one with olive, which of the two would be easier to dye?. i want to get a goldish color. im not sure if the blue is considerd darker than gold. any incite on which to buy?

Both are way darker than gold. There really shouldnt be any thought process there. You are gonna have to dye a white frame to get a desired gold unless its darker than the already produced yellow/gold frames.

any ideas on what colors could come from dying a blue or olive bottom, i know im limited on selection, but for the price i can pass up this deal.

if you put anything like hot glue stickers or something it's gotta be on while you're dying the mask. hott glue's cool

I just finished dying my red/clear i3 frames, yellow frames, and my smoke i'll post up results in a lil

All your going to get from the olive is black lol. And from the blue... maybe a navy blue or black.

How do you get the designs in the dye. Do you use something to prevent the dye from soaking in? Also when you dye the bottoms does the dye just not soak into the rubber?

You use Hot glue on the places that you do not want to be dyed, then u peal it off afterwards. The bottom plastic is allot different and does not let the dye soak into it aswell as the frames, you can still dye them, just it will be a lighter turn out then the frames.

That's what I used. I hand washed after taking out of the dye bath and then it took three wash cycles in the machine on gentle to get the foam dye free.

All you really have to do is run the foam under warm water until the water going through the foam is clear.

I want to dye my red flex frames black but I want to make them like flat black so they will match my flex 8 how would I do that?
