My computer is being loud.

Well, I am having a little bit of a problem. My computer has always been loud but now it seems louder. What could be wrong? It runs fine.

Any ideas?

That might be it, but when i got the computer it was always loud.

I dont want to control my fan because couldn't i cause it to burn up if i slow it to much? I am a noob at computers so im just going to deal with it.

The HDD in my old Gateway 2000 could be heard across my house. It sounded like someone rattling ball-bearings inside of a metal bucket.

No, I am sure it's the fan. I went right behind the computer and took my ear to the fan and it's deff it. Everything is cool so i guess it's doing its job. Maybe it's just a loud *** fan, i wish it was quieter though.

Those cheap 1.99 fans on newegg have a tendency to have their bearings go out.

I'm guessing you're joking, why couldn't you just be serious? When you started on computers you didn't know anything.
