Big computer problem

I am sitting here trying to figure out whats wrong with my half year old toshiba sattalite notebook. It is running insanely slow. opening the internet takes 5 minutes. i timed it. I hit ctrl alt del, and checked cpu usage, and it is at a constant 100 percent. This is when idling, or doing anything. how do i fix it?

How many processes are running? I'd say Defrag it, run a virus scan and possibly run Hitman Pro or something of the like for spyware.

See which process is taking the majority of your CPU and then end it. Then go delete it.

the biggest three of the 69 processes running are desktop weather, firefox, and internet explorer, but if i delete a process will i never be able to use that program again, or just have to reboot

Ya, it no doubt came with a bunch of useless miscellaneous programs from the manufacturer that you don't need anyway.

Edit: 69 processes!!! I have 28 processes running when no programs are open. That's a lot man. You definently need to reformat.

For the ones you don't know, Google them. I doubt anyone will take the time to pick all the bad ones out for you. Why not just reformat? It takes no time and your computer will be noticibly faster.
