Unhappy Laptop Problem HELP!!!! please

ok so i get home from school today and get on my laptop and notice there is no sound, so i check my volume and thats fine so i check if the volume on my speakers is turned up, thats fine. Then i check to make sure my speakers and headset are plugged in when i notice the that the mic plug is at a awkward angle it turns someone or something broke the sound card unit between today at 1am and today at 1pm. this laptop hasn't left my desk for 2 weeks. its a alienware m9700 again what are my options. it cant take any longer then the 19th because im heading down to the nppl. Please help me

I believe you are SOL unless someone makes an after maket sound card that can ulitize PCMCIA but I doubt it.

They have USB connected sound cards, if you want to go that route. Are you sure the whole sound card is broken, or just the headphone jack? The headphone jack might be fixable if you can get access to it.

well i found a temp fix its a PCMCIA sound card it will last till i can fix it
