How can I get WMP to work with Firefox 2.0?

When I open a page to watch a video with WMP, it comes up with the green puzzle piece saying I need to download a plugin. So I click on it and it says "No suitable plugins found." The thing is, I already have WMP on my computer, so how do I get it to work with Firefox 2.0? Thanks.

install a codec pack. k-lite is probably your best bet.

I didn't have that problem but just download WMP 11 if you haven't already. I used to use Firefox but I switched back to IE 7 because it has all the same features and the embeded WMP videos actually work. WHen I used Firefox it was like zoomed in for the embeded videos.

i got addicted to firefox because the way it saves my passwords... and it will show me what the password actually is. Also I have the adblock pluggin which totally owns noobs. No "HELLOOOOO" ads on myspace! YES.

You could always just copy and paste the link into ie7...

FF ftw. Much faster, easier, safer, adblock. This whole WMP thing is the only thing I didn't like about it, but now that its all fixed I love it.

QFT. It seemed to me that IE7 was much slower than firefox.

Actually nothing is true other than I would agree with the faster part, except for on startup since IE's resources start up with Windows anyways..

However, that other stuff... I wouldn't believe it just because everybody says... prove it with a legit source/link.

All I did was install the WMP for NETSCAPE version from MS's website. None of that other crap needed.
