Need help with new build

I usually hate people who do these but wanted to get pbn's opinion on a build I plan on doing sometime in the next month. I'm new to Intel chips/chipsets so I wanted to check that Im going in the right direction first.

Antec Performance One P180B Black
- 124.99

Thermaltake W0106RU 700W PSU - $169.99

ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus - 189.99

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz - 313.00

EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX - 569.99

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
- 234.00

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer - 79.99

Western Digital Caviar RE2 WD5000YS 500GB 7200 2x - 159.99

Lite-On DVD burner
- 38.99

Total Price tax/shipping: $2043.93

I'm going to be selling my current system which should cover about 1/3 of the cost but havent decided yet if Im going to part it out or try to sell it as a whole. If I part it out I may be keeping my hdd's and dvd burner which would save me over $350.

****ing solid, the 8800 won't fit in that case with the lower drive bay in place though.

My brother actually just did a new build with that case and an 88GS, are the gtx's longer than the GS's? He hasnt put it together yet but he had read somewhere that the 88s fit, just fit tightly. I always thought they were small cases by looking at the pictures but when I saw it in person its actually quite big.

Yeah, the GTX's are substantially longer then the GTS's if I remember correctly, it may fit though but just be prepared to lose the bottom bay or at least turn it to fit it.

Ill have to wait and see how everything fits in his case first I guess. Im reading through some of the reviews and Ive found 3 reviews saying they have an evga 8800gtx and it fits, so hopefully I should be ok.

Couldent you OC a 6400 a lot and save 100 bucks?

And what kind of ram do you have in your current build? Looking for some 184pin PC3200.

I have the Thermaltake Shark and my 8800gtx fits with about a half inch.
Very similar to my system. I have the 6700 and 4gb rather than 2.. should fly though! I would suggest, if able, to get 4 gigs. There is a very noticable difference. $80 in rebates
