Why would it be a scam? Both of those computers are pretty much pieces of ****. The "gaming computer" would barely run games that are 5 years old. It wouldn't be able to run any of today's much more demanding games. The laptop is just an all around piece of ****. It may have been decent 8-10 years ago. A 12gb hard drive would be more like 8 after formatting and installing windows. What the hell can you do with an 8gb hard drive? And a 366mhz processor? You'd be lucky to run xp on that thing.

Overall, not really any great deal. Buy it if you desire, but I would spend $500 and build a decent gaming pc.

I didn't look at that one yet.

I would say that it's an improvement over the first one, but still not a great deal. The reason that guy is selling so many of the same computer is because he's most likely building them and selling for a profit. I don't see the point of buying something that is already outdated when you can build a much better pc for the same price.

Why? The only trap I see is overpaying for 2 crappy computers. It's not a scam.

If you'll spend $500, get something like this:
(didn't pick out ram or mobo)
https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion...asp?ID=4136885

You won't get the best stuff and you'll still be using 939 for that price, but it will play WoW and other games alright for the time being. As far as the OS on iit, XP is fine and there are other ways of getting it, I think lostxspartan can help you with that.

Can you repost that in the format i have below? The link does not lead to anywhere for me...

Anyways... I was looking around on newegg. Check out my comp build:

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133156

Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144122

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131090

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116001

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141225

Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130062

Total cost: $503.00 with CD drive, floppy, etc.

And then there is the CD drives, and a floppy drive but I'm sure you dont care about those haha. Please LMK if I should change anything out for something else!!!

Yeah that looks fine, I don't know anything about the motherboard, ram, or processor though.
I guess the link I posted only works for me. Here's the stuff I picked out quickly:
Case:http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...119077&Local=y
GPU: same as you
PSU:http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817103937
CPU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103037
Floppy:http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16821152005
HDD: yours is good
CD/DVD drive: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16827136083

oops just realized I put an am2 processor not 939, I'll change that

Why did you pick that CPU opposed to the one I chose?

But anyways... I really appreciate you taking the time to post up a build for me, but will the build I made be good? I mean, if I should change something then definatly tell me so I will. I want this to run most MMO's. Only WoW at first, then I will start slowly upgrading. TY again!

I just choose that CPU because I know nothing about Intel CPUs and their compatiable mobos. Also because 939 is getting cheap but still works fine.

Yeah your build looks fine except you should get a different PSU than the stock one with the case. Instead of spending $100 on a case with PSU, spend $50 on a case without one and $50 on a PSU (450-500 watts).

Check with other people though before ordering, especially with the RAM, CPU, and Mobo since I can't help you with those.

good luck if you actually follow through and build it, it will be much better than any of the stuff you posted from ebay

At my gf's, I run Source @ 70fps with a PentiumD 3ghz, 2gb ddr2, and a 7300gs... (nice computer away from home)

Source is what... 3 years old?
