you should ALWAYS use high pressure unless if in the manual it specifically states that you need to use a low pressure tank.

as long as the reg can keep up with the recharge rates, you're set. if its a crossfire like you stated, then you're fine.

There are very, very few markers that have to be used with an LP output tank.

There's a good number of markers that can use both - basically those that have a low enough operating pressure to effectively use a low pressure output tank, while still having around 200psi pressure differential between their operating pressure and the output pressure of the tank (in order to help to prevent shoot down at high rates of fire).

There are then markers that have to use an HP output tank, either because they have a high operating pressure (those markers that are designed to run straight off unregulated CO2), or whose operating pressure is regulated, but is too close to the output pressure of an LP output tank.

While it isn't a bad idea to stick to HP output tanks (if nothing else, there are more markers that can use them, very few that can't, so they are more universal, being good for both low end and high end markers - easier to sell at a later date), the Shocker's operating pressure is more than low enough to be able to be used with an LP output tank.

If you have a good LP output tank already, I wouldn't worry about changing it.

Assuming the use of a preset output tank and an inline regulator, then irrespective of whether the preset tank is set for LP or HP output, the final pressure will be set by the inline regulator, and that pressure going in to the marker will be the same in both cases. So there shouldn't be any difference in efficiency, because the pressure going in to the marker will be the same in either case.

Unless of course your post is not in relation to the air system question being asked, and you are just saying that a stock Shocker is a low pressure marker, and hence inefficient, in which case that comment doesn't really belong here, as it has nothing to do with the question in hand.

IF you use LP make it CROSSFIRE
they are the only regs with the high enough recharge rate

Low pressure= will work

but get a high pressure tank.

1. you can use it with almost any marker except like angels and such
2. they have a faster recharge rate then low pressure tanks usually.

just go with high pressure.
