What are the EXACT rules on cleats and what is allowed and not.

So as the title says I am looking for the Exact rules...Also

If there are any shapes of spikes that are not allowed.
If it is just metal that is not allowed or is ceramic also not allowed.

If everyone would read the rules 95% of your questions are answered.

7.1.11.1. Footwear must not be modified from the manufacturer’s original form, and
7.1.11.2. Must not include metal cleats or spikes, and
7.1.11.3. Must not be more than 10% yellow or orange.
7.1.12. A player who continues to play with illegal clothing will be assessed a gross penalty.

James at Cup I was not allowed on the field with ceramic spikes, I was using track cleats with short ceramic spikes.

Why wouldn't you be allowed to use soccer cleats? They have spikes that aren't ceramic or metal.

Could I get some clarification if this is saying

a) no metal cleats and no metal spikes.

b)no metal cleats and no spikes period.

Generally, if the cleats are sharp and pointy (i.e. most metal and ceramic spikes) they are unsafe and not allowed. If you have soccer cleats that are rubber/vinyl/plastic, they're fine. If you have the flat metal cleats, they should be fine but you should check with Tim prior to the event.

The goal of the rule is to protect the players (in the event someone gets stepped on) and the equipment (sharp, pointy spike meets inflated bunker results in the field crew being called for repairs, which delays everyone)

The orange and silver ones are NOT!! Allowed with the spikes in, however they are ok if you take the spikes out.

The black and white ones are fine.

After talking to Tim, who is already on site in LA ... he thinks turf shoes will work best with this style of turf if that's of any help.
