Tired of 10bps on your Rail's UL frame?

Tuck the eye ribbon tab under the solinoid wire, I will illustrate:

Closing your grips with your wires looking like this is BADBADBAD, your eye's will read "malfunctioning":

Tucking the eye wire like this seems like a pretty shotty idea, but your eyes will work now

I still prefer eye wires to the ribbon, and am glad to be replacing them; but I finally figured out this damn mystery. It would make sense, since it would seem to be tucked down by shutting the grip; but this isn't the case. I've had alot of people ask about this and never had a good answer; glad to get this finally solved

i think its kind of stupid that they put the eye slot facing verticle instead of horizontal like on the stock rail bored....it would of fit there is enough room

If you're trying to use PSP tournament mode(15bps) it will cap it at 10; pretty annoying if it's ever happened to you.

I have a general PMR Question, somewhat related.

Regardless of setting (14 or so BPS vs 28 BPS) - It ALWAYS seems to be the same speed with eyes on, and different with eyes off. Why is that?

^^^ From what I understand, whatever your ROF is set at... it should be the same whether you eyes are on or off. There was a thead on this... and confirmed by a DYE tech (Dye_ewok). The thread starter also called Dye... and confirmed it. I'll find the tread and EDIT this post.

EDIT: here is the thread: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2009677

He also PM'd me info... but I accidentally deleted it
I'll PM for info again.

Hmmm, I read that thread.

Still, it is NOTICEABLY slower with eyes on, no air, just clicking it. Feels like 20 or more with eyes off, and maybe 10 eyes on.

That's because it is. The eye's use logic to detect if a paintball is being fired, etc.

It will be different with paint then, correct?

Also, on the UL Frame. Where did YOU leave that plastic trigger seat from the noid? I left it in between the body/frame, not sure if I should remove it.

well on my stock pmr board. when the marker is not gassed up and its just the noid clicking, its capped at 10 bps. and because my eyes were dirty, my gun was capped at 10 bps. so now i cleaned my eyes but havent tested it yet. so if my marker is gassed up and loaded, the gun will fire as fast as i want? [[10-30 bps]]

Yes... it will be different with air and paint. Explanation is in this thread:
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=1995090
Quote:
My gun seems to shoot faster with eyes off than with eyes on. Why?
or
Why is my gun capped at 10bps and BLINKING GREEN?
  • First of all, are you shooting with NO air and NO paint?
If yes, you are most likely shooting with something (finger, barrel swab, etc.) in the breech. With something the breech the gun will drop down to 10bps so this is normal.
    Explanation:
If you notice when you turn on the gun, it boots to RED (no ball in breech). When you put something in the breech, the LED turns GREEN (ball in breech). When you click the trigger it BLINKS GREEN (Eye failure). When Eye failure occurs, it goes into safe mode where it will drop the BPS to 10bps. If in a game, and you chop a ball and eyes get blocked (Eye failure), it drops down to 10bps to prevent anymore chop. In summary, it is normal to shoot 10bps with something stationary in the breech. It will shoot faster if you are shooting paint.
  • Second, are you shooting with air and paint, but it is still slow?
First thing to do is clean your eyes... or run through the "Troubleshooting Checklist" above. If they are clean and still shooting slow, then it is either... you have slow fingers, or your hopper is not feeding fast enough for eyes to register the next ball to shoot. The hopper can also limit how fast you can shoot, so don't be so fast to blame the eyes. Change the battery on your hopper and checking your settings (force feed)... or use a friends/teammates hopper to see if you get the same results. Let someone else try your hopper to see if they get the same results. Use process of elimination. Also, another thing you can try is change your detents. It is possible that your detents are not positioning the balls where the eyes can see them.
  • Check your ROF (bps) setting.
  • If you have a VLocity, there is a known ghosting issue (earlier releases) where guns shoot below 15 bps even at the highest setting.

Thanks for the clarification. Laser eyes may help detect eye failure also, correct?

I had some - Sent Rail to Dye - Eyes voided Warrantee - Eyes replaced with stock. I have two pairs of stock eyes, now.....

DM6 or 7 Wired eyes (Lucky) fit? I'd really prefer a wire over ribbon.

If your eyes are on and you're just clicking the solenoid, would'nt that make the eyes register 'eye failure' and cap the gun at 10bps?

EDIT:
Whooops, too slow on the 'reply' button.

I'd suppose so, but I would only see it as:

Something stays in the breech constantly, isn't "fired", so gun recognizes possibly as broken paint.

Anyway, I'm playing tomorrow. If my UL Rail doesn't work, I'll use my FS7, or Promaster, or Ion. Fools.

BTW - My RF Harness isn't the right on for a PMR, stock frame or UL Frame.
