what do i need to mod my sentinel with an e-grip?

i want to make my sentinel an electro. so what kind of grip frames could i use? would it take much work? i was thinking a spyder e-grip but i deffienetly dont want a rocking frame so what are your thoughts on you guys who have done it? or if someone has a diadem kit for cheap then i will buy that.

I'm not sure if the spyder e-grips will line up correctly sear wise with sentinel sorry.

The only two things that I can think of that would be a problem would be first, the screw holes lining up. Second, the sear part lining up. You could drill holes in the frame for the screws. But i'm not sure about the sear.

You could get a ram to fit, put a DM or Ego frame on it, and go that direction...

Before Diadems came out someone at AM did some custom Spyder gripped Sentinels. I never saw a finished one, but I would guess that the top of the gripframe has to be milled down, redrilled for screws, etc.

Damn dude, you sound like an airsmith or something! Seriously though, you throw that out there like it would be a fairly simply thing to do. Realistically, how hard would it be to convert a Sentinal/AM-4 to an electropneumatic with Timmy/DM/ICD/etc. parts that would be easy to find and replace. How much cash and/or work are we talking about here!

Actually i believe the frame AM modded to fit the sentinel series was an Old Booyah LCD frame made by Centerflag. IMO, it would be a pain in the *** to mod a sentinel to an EP using common parts, unless you first converted it to a Diadem, and then it wouldn't be nearly so bad. A frame swap would be easily possible i'd bet.

I really don't know much about electros, but I if/when I get a mill I will look into doing custom stuff now and then.

Probably not. The last thing that has to do with diadem was repair kits when I bought them, and that was a long time ago.

im thinking about just putting my black Sentinel body on the Diadem and putting the blue/black body on the Sentinel

yeah well i tried to switch the bodies and it was going great(a lot easier than i thought it would be) but i had everything taken apart and i go to screw the ram into the black Sentinel body and it wont go in!I think the threads are messed up or somthing. but the ram goes into the Diadem body fine and the Sentinel spring and other stuff goes into both bodies fine so i guess im stuck with a blue/black Diadem right now. BTW there is someones Diadem on ebay right now i think its black and its all stock. current bid last time i checked this morning was like $158.00. im thinking of putting mine on becuase i need some money right now

Strange, That thread is the same for both Senti and Dits. Was there something sticking up in the lower tube, like the sear?
