The amount of ****ty pictures on this forum is just way too much for us to give any real critique on is the problem.

^i guess so. but people always need to start somewhere. and usually, the first time someone goes out either for their first time or with a new camera, the pictures arent gonna be the best.

Exactly, that is why you just don't post them. I know I didn't want to post any of my first pictures up because I knew they sucked. When you are new you should take a lot of pictures and just critique them your self and figure out what you are doing wrong on your own.

Yeah, but, if u are new, u wouldnt know waht is wrong with them, therefore, you would need someone with more experiance to tell you.

You read and read some more. And then you look at some photographers that have good stuff and you analyze their pictures and see what it is about their stuff that makes it good.

Please.. for gods sake. Learn to rotate your pictures before posting.
Also learn to use a tripod.
unless you were going for the long exposure look, than I think it was a big over done.

Hey Surfguy,

while I'll admit that a lot of the people here could be nicer, you bring a lot of this on yourself by posting pics like....

Have you ever heard the old saying that you don't have to be a Vetrenarian to know when you've stepped in horse crap? We'll you don't have to be a photographer to know that pic was awful. And you didn't need us to tell you that. You knew it before you posted it.

And what's up with this...

What exactly is supposed to be the subject of this photo? The door handle? ...Really?

Now, I understand why a person new to photography might find the shots with all the streaking lights interesting and if you take the time to figure out what happened there and why those shots turned out like that, you'll be able to turn that knowledge into some pretty cool shots...

But dude!

THIS DOG HAS NO FACE!!!!!!

IMO, this photo is the only decent one of the bunch. It would have been nice if you have bothered turning it vertical before you hosted it.

My suggestion to you in the future is to get out, take lots and lots of pics. Learn from the bad ones and delete them. Post the decent ones here and we'll help you get better. If it's horrid, DON'T POST IT HERE!!!! Unless you are trying to get a certain type shot and have a specific question about what you need to change to make it better. But if you post a crap pic here and just ask for comments... people will tell you it's crap.

If you post some decent pics here, there are still people who will flame you. But there are several people here who try to be very helpful. It's just hard to offer much advice about a pick like the one you posted of your ceiling fan or that freezer door handle.

They all ****ing suck. If you "don't really care" then don't bother posting you useless pieces of **** and wasting our time.

You suck, none of those shots are good at all. Some may say the dog shot was good, but judging by the rest of your shots, you didn't to it on purpose.

Besides, it sucks anyways.

No, you can post.. just do it in the wdys/pptw threads. And actually care about becoming a better photographer. If you do that and welcome criticism, the PbNPhoto will embrace you and do their best to help.

hey... it's not that. The point I was trying to make was, don't post a pic if you already know it sucks and ask us what we think.. The only exception to that would be if you are asking why something happened.. Like for instance. If he had posted that dog pic and said, "Hey guys, I took this pic of my dog but he's got no face, WTF???" Then we would have told him why and how to go about fixing that.
