DIP SETTINGS? Help

OK I played bal yesterday and my bushy was shooting great. It has the old style MAX chip in it(or maybe new but there is no difference except for the ACE DIP 7

OK so I figured I would test out my ROF over the chrono, I was shooting good match paint and an EVo 2 on full auto and it wouldnt go over 9 bps

So I figure Oh well I guess the settings are limiting me, Well I get home and today I do some research and it seams my board was set to 18bps.

Does my evo suck or what.
Here are my current settings
1 0ff- Mode settings ( SEMI )
2 0ff- Mode settings ( SEMI )
3 on MS Dwell set for 10 ( will this affect my rof I can turn it down to 8ms if i need to
4-6 on ( ROF) Set for unlimited ( changed since I was at field but only from 18 to UL BPS)
7 off EYE dwell 2ms delay ( shortest, turning up to 4 would only slow it down right
8 off ( tourny lock off )

Thanks

hey

I know the stock bushies had a multiplier in them that would not let you shoot more than 9bps in full auto. That logic may have been copied in your other chip.

This is gonna sound hokey, but bare with me.

Try adjusting your trigger with the actuation all the way at the back, and a little play up front. Then put an electric toothbrush against it and test that.

I've seen that test a gun up to 19bps. Like I said, it sounds hokey, and you have to work with that front play to get the bounce right for your brush but it works.

I think your gun will prolly max out around 13/14 bps.

Dude, that is hella fast though, most people never hear that rate on the field even at major events. Most people just don't shoot that fast.

So you shot at 9 bps by hand in semi? That isnt' bad.

I have an old first gen bushy and even stock I used to outshoot my revvy.

?

So which eye are you running, is this the PDS from ICD, or is this an aftermarket one? Do you have a link to the page of the maker if it is not ICD?

hmm

in the chaos documentation on vapor's site:
http://www.vaporworks.net/chaos.rtf

I found this info:

New Style Board MAX DIP settings:

1 2 setting
off off semi auto
on off turbo
off on autoresponse
on on full auto

3 setting
off 8ms dwell
on 10ms dwell

4 5 6 setting
off off off 9 bps
on off off 10 bps
off on off 12 bps
on on off 13 bps
off off on 14 bps
on off on 16 bps
off on on 18 bps
on on on UL bps

7 setting
off 2ms eye delay
on 4ms eye delay

8 setting
off tourney lock on
on tourney lock off (trigger programmable mode)

So how does that go w/ what you have?

Maybe the eye is having issues as you said earlier:

Below I put his cleaning info, what paint are you shooting? If that is an eye on one side only of the gun then it is reflective and those are known to have prolems when paint is differently colored on different sides. I think the dark sides don't pick up or something.

Cleaning:
In case of early barrel breaks, misadjusted detent, etcetera, paint may coat the sensors on the eye, causing functions to be severely detrimented. Should this happen, the eye will require cleaning. To clean, simply remove the two allen head screws retaining the eye to the body, then unplug it. Get some dry or lightly wet Q-tips or similar cotton swabs, and wipe any paint or oil residue of of the shiny black sensors.

batteries

A while ago, I had the same issue with my Chaos setup...For some reason, I just couldn't get a fast ROF with paint.

I never found out what the definite cause was (it just worked one day), but I THINK it was my battery...I was using the crappy Energizer rechargeables. Since I changed to Plainview rechargeables and regular non-rechargeable Energizers/Duracells, I haven't had the problem.

What kind of battery are you using?

If it's not the battery, try bypassing your ACE and lemme know if you can fire faster.

One other thing it could be is paint. I was using what appeared to be a blue shelled paint but it turned out the shell was clear with blue fill. This paint gave me gun a TON of trouble. With red shelled paint, it works great now!

What Chaos info do you need? Since I've pretty much had every version of the Chaos chip since it started, I'm sure I've got the info you need somewhere.

One more thing...

Which ACE do you have?

Do you have the really old one with the adjustment knob on the ACE or the self-adjusting one (it has no adjustment knob)? When the air is off and you drop paint in the breech, does the ACE consistently register seeing the paint?

I put in a nice new duracell. I used yello shell yellow fill paint.
I will try to bypass it but wont I chop?
I think I have all the info I need now on DIp settings Im just wondering why it wasnt faster, It must have something to do with my eye/hopper/paint combo
I guess its the new one, no knoby. It has to allen screws thru the side. Has a plug with 3 wires (Red,Green, Black in that order)
Then it says
