greasing the zenitram lpr and icd inline reg?
Hey, i just got the zenitram lpr rock reg for my b2k3. It says "Note:The oring inside the bore must be lubricated before installation". Now does this mean i just have to lubricate those 2 o-rings, and if so what kind of lubrication can i use, dow 33??
And what kind of lubrication can i also use on the b2k3's icd inline reg and ram assembly??
thx

pballernyc, All I want is for the o-rings to be wet when you install the LPR. It just keeps them from sticking and potentially tearing or getting nicked. Dow 33 is fine or any gun oil will work. You can probably get away without it.

LPR orings - use a little DOW33... very little...
HPR - Take it apart and clean all the parts off... relube with DOW33, very thin layer. Like almost clear kind of stuff here...
Ram assembly - DOW33... are we noticing a pattern here? Put it on the orings and put a very thin layer all over the ram. Also open up your ram assembly and lube the oring on the piston every once in a while...

Kreno, Thanks for detailing the process. In my opinion you should always lube o-rings when installing components that have them. I like the Dow33, it is good lube. I notice that most people that bring me their guns have little or no lube in them. The bushmaster is capable of high rates of fire and if the ram is not lubed you are going to have trouble with consistency.

No problemo... I'm actually going to give DOW55 a shot one of these days... I hear it's slightly better than DOW33 for lubing stuffs... So yeah... but I'll wait til I run out of my 6 oz of DOW33... lol... shouldn't take more than a couple years
