Travel Regulations?
Can anyone point me in the right direction for the Canadian regulations regarding travelling with my marker and HPA tank on airlines? I will be travelling from Toronto to Calgary in May of this year if that helps.
Thanks

Put it all under the plane, and make sure you reg is off your tank if you want to take it with you, other than it's alright, you might get searched you might not, you're not traveling into the states so you'll probably be ok.

Thanks For the help, just a few questions:
I have to take the reg right out of my tank? Should I take it to a proshop or can I do it myself? Its a 68/3000 Crossfire.
Also would it be advisable to wrap it all up in bubble wrap or something protective so it doesn't get ruined or will security make me unwrap it?

As long as there is no air in your tank you can probalby take the reg off by yourself if you have a strap wrench, but you WILL HAVE TO HAVE A CERTIFIED AIRSMITH put it back on for you. If you have a bunch of clothes going with you I would just put a couple shirts around it incase the airline does want to search your bag you don't have to take any tape off or anything.

Lol i could imagine it goin through that machine, it would look like a bomb lol. Yea you have to take off the reg like eric said but you should go to the front desk and ask them what to do with the tank and reg. and tell the security before you go through security.

at least with westjet... you have to empty the tank... not take the reg off competely... if youre going to the states you must take the reg off but if youre staying in canada just make sure its completely empty.. you cannot take it in your carryon baggage so you need to check it.
all the info should be on the air line's website... just go there and look for the restrictions section and it should be under sports equipment.

No problem, what are you going to Calgary for?
PS I would still take off the reg just to be safe, because if they all of a sudden decide at the airport you need to take it off and you have no strap wrench, you can kiss that sucker good bye!

Don't fly Air Canada, lol....when i flew to london they confiscated my tank I probably just got someone on a *****y day cuz I know other people that have flown air canada with their tanks and didn't have any problems.
Call the airline and ask about their regulations. And definately take your reg off, most airlines need to see inside your tank.
