Re: Ego 7 Solenoid Screw info!

Hello everyone,

It's been brought to our attention that when customers are replacing their Ego 7 solenoids, they are being a little over-zealous when over-tightening the solenoid screws.

In it's severest form this can cause the minifold o-rings to become excessively squashed, restricting the air-flow and causing low velocity and inconsistent markers.

If you have an Ego 7 and you have recently replaced your solenoid (or had your solenoid replaced by a service centre) and are suffering from either inconsistent velocity or low velocity then back off each of the solenoid screws 1/4 turn.

If you still need further assistance then please contact your nearest Eclipse Service Centre, myself (nick.t@planeteclipse.com) or Gerry Bates (gerry.b@planeteclipse.com).

Kindest regards,

Nicky T

Hey Nicky T, considering you work for planet eclipse could you please tell me when action village is getting some red 07 ego's. I pre-ordered one and am very excited. Thanks in advance.

They can not release that kind of information. Or so I was told in December.

Exactly!

Unfortunately i am not privvy to info such as pre-order lists, delivery schedules, when your dad's brother's best friend's son's store is going to get their Ego 7's so asking me is pointless - sorry!

Speak to Action Village directly for the answer.

Nicky T

ps can we get the thread back on topic too now?

It is the goldish colored screw holding the manifold and the solenoid together.

i love my 06 pev's ego and i found out a way to save your solenoid problems my boy HEC from Team BPS uses the real small orings we have from our repair kits they take up some of the screws space and up will not put a hole in your solenoid.
