Interesting, I wonder if this hurts their home stretch recruiting efforts.

Poor guy, has no idea what hes gettin himself into.....

Seriously though, hes got a #1 overall pick and a ton of talent on offense to work with, mainly at the WR position and RB, but hes got an outstanding, young defense. Should be interesting, but I can definatly see the Raiders getting back on the map in a hurry.

I think Al Davis will do his best to influence him into drafting Russell. Davis wants a verticle offense there, its been like that forever, and I think its safe to say he wont waiver to much from that. Although I think Quinn woudl be an equally good decision.

I'll put 100 bucks on Russell. Dont you guys know this guy is coming from USC? We HATE Brady Quinn and have dismantled him for 4 years.

We may be saying Poor poor san diego in a few days if Wade Phillips ends up coaching in Dallas. Man, the AFC west could get really, really, really, interesting over the next few weeks. If the Chargers lose Phillips thats both coordinators gone within a week and a half, that could mean trouble. We'll wait and see, but if thats the case I see a 10-6 season in San Diegos future.

Nah, the O-Coordinator issue shouldn't be too big of a deal since either Ramsdell (QB Coach) or Shelmon (RB Coach) is likely to get the job. Shelmon did some playcalling in preseason so he's VERY familiar with the offense and shouldn't skip a beat. Plus, how hard is it to call "Run LT left, run LT right"? Just kidding. As for Wade... as long as an adequate, 3-4 style coach is plugged in, it shouldn't be too big of a bump. Maybe the ****ing atrocious prevent defense will be improved without Wade. It's also nice to have a very solid front 7 with your first year as a coordinator. But anyways, it's not even for sure Phillips will be gone, so I'm merely speculating.

Muffin, Everything comes in cycles, there was a time when USC couldn't recruit. Have no doubt, what goes up surely comes down. Remember Princeton used to be one of the biggest powerhouses in college football, Notre Dame (Most National Championships).
