$50,000 Tippmann Cup!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PEVS/COUSINS ANNOUNCES DATES FOR THE $50,000 TIPPMANN CUP

Plattekill, NY January 2007- PEVS Paintball and Cousins Paintball together with Tippmann is pleased to announce the dates for the upcoming 7 man Tippmann Cup. The tournament will take place on June 16th and 17th at the Cousins Paintball outdoor park in Plattekill. This world class facility is located approximately 15 minutes from Newburgh, NY.
This tournament will be a Tippmann only event and is the first of its kind. The main purpose of the event is to “level the playing field”. In an effort to ensure that everyone has an equal advantage all players are required to use a Tippmann marker. You can choose any make or model as long as it is a Tippmann product. In addition; everyone will be playing on a variety of fields including Hyper Ball, Air Ball, and Woods Ball. The skills of the team rather than the rate of fire or individual athleticism will have to show through in order to determine the winner.
Tippmann has put up $50,000 in cash and prizes with $21,000 in cash going to the 1st place team making this the largest Tippmann only event ever. The fun begins with a trade show on June 15th. For more information please visit the official Tippmann Cup website at www.tippmanncup.com

I don't know...but I know entry fee is so expensive. Like $700 per team and prizes are tippmans for 2nd through 7th I think. It is D1 or less. I don't remember any more info though.

sure, the entry fee is high, but the payout is insane. If I could, I'd have at least one team entered.

i cant see tomany teams doing this
1. Most teams are not going to pay 700 entry and pay 60 a case,
2. Idk how many ppl actually have tippmans that they can compete in a tourny with.
3. I think tippman will allow tippman effect to play or a sister team and win first and get there money back.

Huh, teams travel all over the US, pay 2875 for entry fee 40 bucks a case X 100+ cases an event and at best take home 10,000 and every local player would kill to be one of those guys. You look at an event with a 700 entry, close enough to drive to and will be alot less paint shot as dumb.

I don't get it, 700 bucks and you can walk home with 21,000 and you're not jumping on it, I'd be all over this thing if I weren't reffing.

most team that play nppl or psp dont pay 40 a case most get it covered by sponserships or get a real good deal. Most teams dont shoot over 100 cases a event in 7 man either.

Your saying all this cause you proubly work for pevs or you are sponcered by tippman but if yo actually play for quite storm its prob cause u work for pevs

Yes, I coach QS, and I work for Pev's, I've also played National Events for over 10 years and I know first hand what most teams are doing, I also Know that we shot roughly 100 cases an event in D2 X Ball. I also know that we work very hard for every ball we shoot reffing, etc. The point is this if I could enter a team in an evet with a cost of 700 for entry and roughly 1800 for paint and we could legitimately walk away with 21,000 I would in a heartbeat.

We pay more for that in airfare and the max payout is 10K.

Also:
4. Tippman effect or their players most likely will be allowed to play, it is a D1 or lower event so they have that figured out already. Also they will be using those tippmans that shoot PSP so it will be like fighting a machine gun with a revolver.

Since Tippmann Effect doesn't exist anymore I wouldn't worry too much about it Also you can use any firing mode you want other than F/A so the machinegun factor doesn't exist either.

The stock E Boards that are available from Tippmann on A5's and Pro E's come with multiple firing modes, one of which is ramping. They are actually very common.

Not to mention you're not going to chop if you use the cyclone feed.

I'd go but I live on the otherside of the country, and I don't have 7 people you would dedicate themselfs to do that.
