Is it possible?

Okay, im 6'4 245 lbs, i play basketball every time i can in my free time. I really want to be able to dunk. I can barely get rim on 9.5 ft. so another 6 inches of vertical and i could get it on 10. What can i do to be able to dunk? Work calf muscles? Im pretty athletic for my size i was just wondering what you guys thought...What about those jumpsole shoes or whatever they are called, anyone ever use them?

ive been dunking since 6 foot.

yeah, more like 6'3 but see, i was 275ish at one time...i JUst got this tall within the past 2 years also..

No you didn't. You said you can barely get the rim on 9.5 and another 6 inches and you will have it on 10.

Wow, I'm 5'11'' and can dunk on a rim set at 9'5'', and touch rim on a standard 10''. I think you just need to work those legs man

dont buy into the calf press hype, working calfs are overated. Thats all i did back in 8th grade when i was trying to dunk, and i got nowhere. WHat you gota do is go to a gym that has a good legpress machine, and put on lighter weight (250-300) and do about 5 sets of twenty, bringing the weight all the way down then back up so its on ur tiptoes. My freshman year i went crazy doing this, all spring n summer, and now i can really do some rediculous dunks despite being 6'1...and white

Um yes, 9.5 + 6 inches = GETTING RIM ON 10 FOOT AS I STATED..thanks to all who helped though, leg presses seem like they would work, squats sure as hell dont...
