Then rumor about it being on the strip is pretty insane, but altogether likely. The curren location (Sam Boy Stadium) does not list the NPPL as an event held on its grounds, and there is only a month to plan and organize it, but they announced the location @ Huntington. Im not convinced that the location is going to be where they say it is now, but nothing is true until they say so.

I think the point of the event being in the public eye is one of the major objectives for the NPPL. They started off in HB, ON THE BEACH with an insane number of random people curious to what paintball was. Now by moving the event to the strip, they have the possibility of getting even more public attention than in HB. Once again Chuck is staying one step ahead of the game. I think after the showing the PSP had this past weekend, there will be even more teams at the NPPL events from now on.
yes as mustang5o said, Vicious will be there.

Dam I would be surprised.. dont expect it to be ON the strip.. prob a few blocks away were the "old" strip is by the old casinos.. Im from Vegas and there are no parking lots big enough actraully on the new strip to hold a venue like the NPPL. I'de be shocked if they found a empty parking lot big enough that wasnt owned by a major resort company to hold it on. I still think Sam boyd is a perfect spot for the tourny, however being closer to the strip would draw 10 times more spectators. That would be sweet though, who knows only time will tell.

In my opinion sam boyd is alright. But I would prefer the cox pavillion or even the thomas & mack.
Yeah about the strip. I doubt that. The only other place that it could be held at "near" the tourists is in downtown. The freemont experience. You can just hold it there. Clear all the tshirst drawers, face painters, hookers, and other assortments of downtown slum fun. Im just joking.
Besides... most the tourists that frequent the freemont experience are in the latter part of the 60 age genre or pushing way past prune time!
LVoutRage, isn't there a local team here called outrage? I think tektoniks is sending a team as well.

No info. Just some vague link to the sam boyd.
But if its anywhere in line with HB, that's just fantastic!
1350 for rookie. Not bad when you have a sponsor. But not feasable to people like me who frequent the blood banks. + Most of the time they offer no cash and just half a donut. Whats that crap!

If it were on the strip it would be straight sketchy. Sure it would be cool cause tehre would be so many spectators but think about all the stuff that would get stolen, vegas it filled with sketch balls especially on the strip, theres mexicans passing out porn ad's left and right

Yeah it was all fenced off and two entrances, with two gaurds at times. The staff was really pretty strict I went out outside the fencing for 30 seconds and the gaurd practicaly strip searched me. It was awsome actually, I didn't worrie about my gear at all. I just wish all tournements where that secure. Bring on sin city, im itchin for some paintball!!!!

There were still a few people walking around here and there but it was nice. Once prelims were over, they gave out new passes for semi's and only players in semi's were allowed back there and then the same thing for finals. It was quite nice. It doesn't remove all the chances of guns getting stolen b/c some players just aren't honest. Teams could also buy extra passes for people they wanted to bring in back like family or coaches or whoever. Definitely better than no security at all.

Yeah, if we had known it would be run like that, we would have done that.
Anyways, from all I hear, NPPL managed a much better event with a more public venue and with a better format. Yay I guess.

Tektoniks! Am eh? How fun. The registration seems so outrageous to me. But then again, sponsorship is bliss.
