either way ICC goes it will be very hard for them to get their rap back up from previous years of their terrible Reffing and their entree fee where all you win is a trofie(sp). Their only hope would be a 7man and to actually give out money for 1st and second and keep the entry at an affordable price, altrough 7man would bring in more money, and I like the BYOP.

I like how CTS runs even though I never played in one because ICC pretty much destroyed our team because no one in the ICCs knows how to Ref. Oh and I got kick out of their series for pushing a ref when he was coming to get my arm band because one of our players was yelling in the dead box when the other team was cheating and whipping. So if the ICC does come back I hope it is new people that know what the are doing.

The '06 season got shut down for a lot of reasons. The paint issue was just what pushed it over the edge.

When the ICC comes back, it'll be very different. We realize that our weakness was in our reffing. That, in my mind, is the number one change that must occur. That said, we're going to have to make a couple of tough decisions. There are three options that we must consider, and we can only choose two of them. Those options are: dedicated reffing, cheap entries, lots of prizes.

Want dedicated reffing and lots of prizes? It won't be cheap.
Want cheap entries and lots of prizes? There won't be dedicated reffing.
Want dedicated reffing and cheap entries? There won't be a lot of prizes.

I'd love to offer them all, but it's just not financially viable. After taking a step back and looking at everything, we believe the change to BYOP will be a step in helping teams reduce their costs. It will also help us to get the stores to step on-board and promote us--as they will have an opportunity to benefit from our events.

So, we're going to approach this from the quality standpoint. The events we produce will be quality events. I don't expect the '07 season to see the 50+ teams that we used to--it will take us time to build back to that point.

Most likely, the first event will be very limited in attendance. This will be necessary so that we can focus on doing what we do well and working to improve the things we haven't done so well.

All we can do is present you, the players with a product that we believe you'll enjoy. The new structure won't be for everyone--and that is fine. You'll have choices. Choose what's best for you.

dm4baby, it sounds like you're bitter about something that happened 2 years ago. I'm not saying this in a bad way, and I wasn't there, but everyone makes mistakes. Hell, the ref's could've been paid off for all I know (which likely didn't happen). All I'm saying is don't trash on ppl you don't even know, especially over one incident that I'm pretty sure the ppl you're talking about weren't even there (on the field). If you don't want to play ICC that is your choice, but give 'em a chance. Who knows what will come out of it.

cheaper entry

because who knows, the reffing still might suck this year even if they are "dedicated"

I know that PG Factory would be interested in reffing, b/c we didn't get on the reffing crew for the CTS. So that about 10 dedicated refs per event.

Of course we would rather play, so it can help us with NPPLs, but if we can make those NPPLs cheaper, we are more than happy to support the ICC by reffing.

This would be a great way for local teams to play some 7 man before the NPPL rolls into town

Yeah, 7 man ICC would be great to help teams looking to get started in NPPL get some practice as a 7 man team.

this would be a great way to get ready for having the 7 man nppl being here, as well as seeing what you compare to the aleady established 7 man teams we already know to exist in the area ( im talking about NTK, atmosfrear, the nwe anger squad, seen these guys, they are not to be looked over, and my own boys STD factory) provided that none of which get talked into reffing. would be great to see this become the primary 7 man feeder series for the midwest for the NPPL (could happen, CFOA is hardcore xball/psp would be nice to see the midwest further represented as a bunch of hardcore D3/D2 teams than what we have now, which is semi prot NTK (great job guys keep it up), D2 std FActory, atmosfear, PG factory (great show at OC last year, hope to see you in finasls this season) and our brothers from KY asylumm and not to leave out our boyz fear kids and anger at the D3 level ready to whup some *** for the midwest. if we could get icc going again, everyone would be wanting to play 7 man and would be killing for a chance to play and possiblky beat any one of these above teams (which could be any one of u kids, STD factory has beaten the likes of aftershock, NTK, and other high profile teams on occason, and have been also been beatan by random local teams we have never heard of) there is not a 7 of you our there that couldnt work your butts off and not be able to compete at the highest level possible when NPPL riuns into town. if indy could take Semi pro, d2 1-3 podium, and d3 1-3 podium this would be super amazing, and also super secure our venur\es for the following years

it was canceled because of a paint crisis with pmi, it was also canceled because of a malfunctioning air trailer. me and some other talked to chris about it the weekend it was canceled, now he might not of told every thing it was canceled for but, the paint and air were big parts.

As far as the reffing situation goes how can you expect perfect reffing locally when the "pro" refs can't make calls on the national level. For the most part in the few events i have played the icc reffing was as good as any other.
