Question

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I will own a 2k1 Angel in 5 days when it arrives. I was wondering how hard it is to install a new grip frame? I shoot a cocker and very use to shooting a single trigger. I tried the double trigger and the way I grip the gun feels akward. Please let me know if installing a grip frame is complicated. Thanks

It's pretty simple. I've done it about 10 times. You just have to be careful with all the springs and wires, and when you put the board into the new frame, you have to fiddle with it to make sure the trigger will work.

It's just a matter of trial and error. If you've worked on cockers, swapping out the grip on an angel will be easy as pie for you.

Don't forget to take a look at your manual prior to unplugging any wires.

take the rubber grips off... 6 screws

undo the two screws that hold the grip frame on

unplug the two sets of wires from the gun to the board

unscrew the two screws holding the board in the frame

tap the little bar that holds the trigger on out with a punch...

remove spring and screws from trigger (if your new trigger does not have them)

the bottom trigger stop screw goes in from the top... through the hole the spring sits in...

reverse to re-install

you will probably have to play with the set screws/trigger stops to get the trigger functioning properly...
