JT Spectra lens film
Anyone know if JT puts some kind of film, or anti-fog on the inside pane of the Spectra thermal lenses? I've had two times where I noticed this in the past week. One on a brand new Proflex out of the box, and on a replacement lens that I switched out on it. Out of the box, there was some kind of oily, or soapy kind of film or residue on the inside. After wiping it off, it would come back again a couple days later when I looked at it again. I tried putting a small amount of water on my fingers and rubbing it out, letting it dry, then wiping with a soft cloth and so far it's not coming back. I'm not sure if it's a combination of whatever they put on it, plus the colder weather that was bringing it back.
This residue thing would cause the lenses to be all cloudy and dirty looking.
Anyone know what this stuff is, what it's purpose is, and how to get rid of it?
Thanks!
