This would be pretty hard, but I wonder if either the sox or cubs have a long road trip one of those weeks. Maybe get a game in Comisky (AKA US Cellular....wtf is that about...) A game in Wrigley would be hard, Tribune owns it

Keep in mind clean up at a major place won't be easy. I don't think you'll see some large venue like Comisky or Wrigley field take the chance of ruining their PERFECT grass. The groundskeepers would quit

I don't know about Wrigley, but they have held concerts and stuff in Comisky. I think the rolling stones are playing there at some point this year.

yeah, no way it is gonna happen at the baseball field, the grass would get the **** tore up, that would be a pimp location though, hmm...hopefully it will be a place where the sport can catch an outside public eye rather than just the paintball community, that'd be great for the sport but all we can do it wait....anyone going to watch or play??

I might be playing in either PSP or NPPL, maybe both. If it falls through, I'll go watch both.

You can pick up after a concert. It's just a LITTLE harder to pick up all the paintballs and then clean up the mess left where all the bunkers and chrono's are.

Just a thought

It is close to CPX but i think chicago land speedway would be incredible for the chicago open. That place is huge, away from a major area, plenty of parking, room for vendor tents, and close enough to chicago. It would be like skyball but outdoors.

Yeh it is, but I think they want it in a public area. They want the idea behind HB where 1000's of people who are clueless on paintball to walk by and say cool. But that'll be hard to do in this area. Unless they held it on the beach at chicago....

With the wind coming off that lake? You'd be better off having a tournement in a wind tunnel...

Yeah actually north avenue beach would be a GREAT venue! I'm not really seeing how parking would work though, and honestly, id rather NOT play on sand.

Your sarcasm is not called for. I have looked at those sighs. The location is not mentioned. I assumed that any reasonable person would look at the title of this thread and know the event that I was inquiring about was the PSP Chicago open. The fact that you did not know the event that I was talking about did not stop you from giving out (false) information on 3/06/03

“We probably won't know till late March at the latest where either event will be held. All is known is the dates, you're just going to have wait and settle with that...”

If you don’t know what you are talking about, just shut up and let the grownups talk.

Instead of relying on the "kids" how about you take a proactive role and just call the respective league that you are inquiring about?
