i think cuss words have been deemed bad by the world and society...they are just forms of expression like shoot and darnit...i mean realistically whats the difference between darnit and damnit...beside what people say is better or worse..i dont think the bible worries much about cuss words..however they can be used out of context...and i think when the bible talks about watching what comes out of your mouth, it means much more along the lines of not bearing false witness or blasphemy...

i was watching the chappelles show the other day and noticed something quite racist, yet people laughed and found it hilarious.

how come when a black comedian makes a joke about "cracker *** white boys," it doesnt get deemed as racial, rude or even mean in any way shape or form? but when a white person gets on a stage and calls people a bunch of "porch monkey ******s," he is immediately deemed racist?

**** words, **** "cuss" words, and **** you if you dont like words people use

In case I didn't say this already, though... I do not sware... I don't think it's profitable, however, I don't necasserily see it being against the Bible... DIRECTLY.

is has everything to do with the thread, if youd notice the trend. there have been about 2 posts total relating to the bible and cuss words, others have been relating to society and cuss words.

Society. How impractical would it be for God to give us a list of words that could not be spoke? There would just be substitution for the words that end up being just as vulgar. There is no reason to use such words, and doing so does not glorify God, and God certainly doesn't want us offended people, as it gives Christians a bad name (we already have a terrible name as it is). While it may not be a specific sin, it'd be hard for me to take someone as a serious Christian if they swear a lot. But that's me, I can't tell where their heart is at.

ok the bible says to not let filth come out of your mouth so imo if your using those words in the correct context such as the *** (donkey) pulled the plow in order sow the field or what not ok thats fine , but if you use it in the other way its against the bible because its filling your mouth with filth

i think they are against the bible because in the bible it says to have a clean tongue and to say clean things and cuss words obviously arn't clean/nice things to say.
