1. The Bible refers to God as He or Him
2. Human beings need to understand and accept the idea of a "supreme being" so it is easiest to make "It" like one of us, or something we can identify with.

No, Jesus didn't have two mommies....

Actually one of the covenant names of God - Jehovah Jira literally means - multibreasted one.

The masculine is the most pronounced trait of God. That being God more closely reflects masculine instead of feminine. This is refelcted in God's words and interactions with mankind.

Wow... Gods words and interactions with mankind... How conceited of us humans to believe that God, creator of all, actually talks and interacts with us; As if we are even worthy enough. On top of that, we believe that the force is masculine... What an ignorant world we live in.

If God created mankind in its image, then does God sin?

Because...According to C.S. Lewis.....In human terms, God is masculine while people on earth are feminine to His masculine...

Just look up C.S. Lewises theories and you will find it...

He believes Masculine as power while feminine is submissiveness

God is masculine to men..
Men are masculine to their wives and feminine to God
Women are masculine to their children but feminie to their husband
Children are feminine to Women

Since we on earth associate masculinity with the Male gender.....God become "him"

No offense, but C.S. Lewis? Come on... If we took what he wrote down as the truth, then Lions can talk.
I don't need C.S. Lewis to tell me that Masculine is power and Feminine is Submissive...Look at history and animals.

Does anyone have a history of the word Elohim (sp?)

Way back in history, females were the godly figures. Very early civilizations focused around maternal figures, not paternal ones. Mothers were a symbol of fertility and life. They followed Queens, not Kings. Then, before the advent of Christianity, the father figure replaced the mother one. War became a prevalent aspect of the civilization and males were stronger, provided food, and fought. Thus a father leader rose. Then paternalism replaced maternalism.

Mother earth is an ancient maternal figure which was thought to give birth to everything and represented fertility.

A father God is more contemporary.

Well to some The bible is a way of life, rules, regs, and more. That makes it more than a great narrative. We don't see people doing this with books by Jack K., Conrad, Achebe, or others.
So that in a sense makes it more.
I was going to put down harry potter, but that **** makes me mad and people do take that crap like its the bible.

Yup.
although i wouldn't put "great" in front of it. But yes a narrative for some. For others its simply a compiled book of fables and fairy tales, perhaps "non-fiction" stories.

Absolutely not - because when God created man in His likness and image - it was without sin.

Sin didn't enter until man disobeyed.

Well until Adam was tricked by Eve, if we are gonna take the biblical route.

Does anyone have the verses for the Satan being cast from heaven story? I'm mixing my rough catholic upbringing with my last reading of Paradise Lost. I'm trying to decide if Satan sinned first before Adam/Eve.

So, we disobeyed-- Then why do we believe we are Gods greatest beings? Even more so, that the son of God was one of us? Wouldnt God just create a more perfect kind, instead of dealing with one as flawed as mankind?

Do you not become the narrative you follow? If you are a Christian, does your flesh not become Christian? If you are an Atheist, does your flesh not become Atheist? That is who you are after all?

There's alot of speculation surrounding the fall of Lucifier, but alot can be found in the last book of the bible, the book of revelation. Satan did sin, the sin of pride, before Adam and Eve. Satan was the one who tempted them with the apple.
