I was "forced" again to do the first one by my mom. She comes from a small town where when you're not catholic and not going to church, there's rumors and stuff about you, so it's "normal" to her to be catholic. My dad doesn't give a damn.. he believe a bit but doesn't practice.
I decided to be Atheist when I refused that 2nd thing you have to do. My brother succeeded to get out of the religion by writing a rude letter. I didn't succed... I'll be more rude next time.
if you were one, you weren't forced. you didn't have a choice, but you weren't forced. as for religion, you have a very limited view of that religion, I assume a Liturgical denomination like RCC. as for being successful - that is another issue, nobody can force you to believe (or not).
