You would first have to define what the "perfect world" is. Perfection is purely subjective. This realistically translates into it's not possible because in someone's eye, the world would not be perfect. Read The Giver. It's setting is essentially a utopian society.

I will admit I read it in 6th grade, so obviously it's not a very complex read. However, it does take a very interesting approach to a utopianism. Essentially there is no love, everyone is color blind, and the purpose of mankind is to benefit society. If you're particularly interested in that subject matter, I'd say go for it.

Utopia is a gross imbalance within society. However, the world is ever balancing; thus, Utopia will never be possible.
