I don't know if you'll ever see the Lutheran Church declare itself one with the Catholic Church, but many of the original 95 theses have been reconciled.
Luther was really pushed out of the church and only got away with his ideas because he had the protection of the Duke of Saxony. And the holy Roman Empire had better things to do like fight the Ottoman Turks.

That's not quite true. In fact, I'm kind of disheartend at the attitude some protestants take toward the Catholic Church. No one I know, including all the priests and pastors I have ever met, ever refered to themselves as superior to any protestant sects. It's true, we have different beliefs, however, we do not say "Those Lutherans, they think they are better than us with thier lack of sacraments". I should not speak for all Catholics, but... That's just one of my buttons. I suppose maybe I shouldn't be butting in but...

that was a joke, why would I really care if they have more sacraments?

To any LCMS people in here. If you are looking to organize a mission trip to Africa please let me know. I can arrange to get you in touch with the appropiate people to make it happen. Also if your church is looking to sponser a mission activity (build churches, get pastors ordanded, build bath rooms, and so on.) My church does a project called TIM (Together in Missions.) We are going to donate $3000 a year toward the work of my father who then destributes the funds to each area that needs funds for the previous items listed.

Indeed. www.lampmode.com. They're Christian rappers and they are amazing. Every single song is just packed with theology. Even if you don't like rap, go to the site and check out some clips.

What is important is the act and the belief itself.
Catholics would agree with you there on baptism. People can be immersed, have it poured over their head, be sprinkled with water or in even rare cases, spittle can be used if the person is in danger of imminenet death and there is no water source around. The important part is that you are baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
