Why so long before you can start a career? Med school? Law School?

Start boning up now by watching Scrubs and ER as much as possible. But stay away from Grey's Anatomy. That show is teh devil.

Not to get all military on this forum, but suggestion is the National Guard.
You go to basic training while being paid
You come out and get in uniform one weekend out of the month while being paid.
And on top of that, they have many solutions to school financial help (if needed).

Yes you can. They have a program called "Split Op" and what it is, is you go to basic in your off time for example, your summer break of this year you would go to basic training. Then you would come back, go school for another year, and go to your MOS (your job in the military) training for that summer. You then come back again, finish your schooling, and when your done, you become property of the Army for 5 or 6 years depending on what you signed up for. Keep in mind, you still have to go down for drills one weekend a month.
I believe they can pull you out of school to go serve, unless you sign a contract stating otherwise.
If you interested, talk to a online NG rep.

I disagree, lets look at what the richest man in the world did.
Dont do drugs- probably not
Study hard in HS-maybe
Go to college- for a little while
Get degree- nope
Start Career- he started a business that was extremely risky, I would not really consider that a career.
Im not saying this is wrong, just that it is not 100% correct. If you have enough determination you can find your way to the top no matter what you circumstances are.
