What I'm planning on doing, or atleast attempt, is to save about $2,000 a year in my back account when I turn 21 till the day I die, and hopefully by the time I'm 60+ Ill have over $800,000 because of all the interest build up.

That, or try the hardest I can with graphics to get with a big name company such as:
Disney
Microsoft
Etc...

Not bad, but i would start with your 2nd option, and see if you can do the $2000 on the side, because if the $2000 interest plan doesnt work, your SOL. But if you do the 2nd option, youll have somehting to fall back on!

Yah, I've brought the military into mind because you get paid to fight for your country. And while your in the service at camp, you have nothing to spend it on so it just builds up.

But I don't know.

ROTC = way to go!

You have it like once a week, and its not like west point / USAFCC in Colorado.
When you come out, your an officer in the U.S. military making close to six figures.

screw a savings account and screw when you turn 21. As soon as you are working and over the age of 18, open a 401k account through your employer. If they dont offer 401k, then open an IRA account. An IRA will allow you to deposit up to 2000 - 2500 a year. which is between 165-210 a month. Your account will yield much higher returns than a savings account. In the 6-8% range whereas a savings account will bring you 3-4%

And what happens when you leave/get fired/laid off with that employer?

(What's a 401k account?)

don't just invest in a random company because you like the name and what they do, do some research first

QFT, they may be a hot name, but if you do some research, some of these hot names, arent looking too hot in the future!
