Rainmaker or Tribal?

WHich would be a better backup gun?

Rainmaker = 100 new
TRibal = ?

Do new R/Ms have to be tweaked to be good?

And how about Tribals?

Thanks all

In my opinion the Tribal and RM both aren't the best stock, but both have good qualities with some time and cash put in. I've owned both, and would take the rainmaker. I like the design much better, and they are more upgradable. I'm actually considering selling my setup to by a Rainmaker and pour $600 or so into it. They can be compared to e-cockers when tricked. Check out the RMOG for some rm info and pics of tricked RM's. IR3 Space Frame is going to be the first thing I slap on mine.

Hmmmm... Which marker?

Never owned a Tribal but I do own a Rainmaker. The only must do upgrade to the Rainmaker is a hose kit, 21$. With all the tweaks I did to my RM it performed as good as my friends stock setup with the exception that mine is a little better on gas.

Carrier
I drilled holes in the carrier to reduce the its mass hopefully to reduce the recoil. Put a stainless steel insert for the bolt link. To reduce the play that causes damage to the body and eleminated the "tink" noise.

Hose Kit
No more leaks. Higher flow.

1/2" Clippard Ram
Reduced the recoil and lowered gas consumption.

Turned Valve Stem
The stock diameter of the stem was reduced by half to increase air flow resulting in a lower shooting pressures.

Lighter Valve Spring
Obvious reasons.

Derlin Bolt
Lighter, reduced friction and greater air flow. Yes, made it myself.

Mad Marty's Striker Mod
Reduced friction and scraping noise, eleminated shooting "delay," increased gas effeciency, increased bps, increased marker life and no more burning oil smell.

I can honestly say if you can get a RM for $100, that's what I paid for mine, do it you wont regret it.

Mayhem?

I've been looking at the Mayhem, do you have one? I've been doing some research and people have commented that it's a blender beyond 5bps. My Nova 700 should be comming back in a few weeks and it's the non-electro version of the Mayhem.

Nova SBS

Hmm.. Where do I get one of the SBS systems.? If they are no longer avaliable there is a possibility I could make it if I saw one. I have a micro-lathe. I'm going to make a new spool valve that will reduce turbulence. Another project is to reduce the volume of the dump chamber to improve gas efficiency.
