The rear portion of the bolt stay stationary with the front portion doing all the moving.
Since only the front portion moves, the kick is reduced if not gone all together.

No one has confirmed about the stage 5.1 fit.
The large portion is the bolt stop and that is what locks it into place.

No, you must replace the green bolt stop with the one that comes with the L7.

To add to Kolder's post...The L7's bolt stop and the back portion are one piece.

Wait, my L7 came with a plug, a bolt stop and the bolt. The bolt stop being the round disk with the oring on the outside edge and the inside edge.

Actually they are not one piece. The back portion is the plug which you need to push all the way into the back of the firing can using the eraser end of a pencil. The bolt stop then goes where the stock bolt stop goes in the front of the firing can, the only difference it has a smaller diamater opening for the bolt which has no tail.

I didn't use the eraser side of a pencil to put the Back Plug in place. I just put the flat head screwdriver in the slot of the Back Plug and pushed the Back Plug in place.
And to the thread starter, the Bolt Head(the gold piece) moves forward, while the Back Plug and the Bolt Stop stay stationary. The tail of the Bolt Head goes into the Bolt Stop, and the bolt stops when, well, it hits the Bolt Stop.
Sorry to hijack this thread (again), but, is the bolt supposed to stick out a little beyond the hole where the feedneck hole? When I look down the feedneck, the bolt sticks out just a tad bit. Is it supposed to be like that?
And what would happen if I put the bolt stop in tyhe opposite way (not that I did, I'm just curious)? What would it do differently?
