air powered grenade

so... I'll try to explain it.

I'm starting from the point where everthing is setup (burstdisk, paint, pressurised)

-you pull the pin with your hand on the lever
-you throw it
-the rubberband pulls the lever straight up aswell as pulling the small metal pole down letting a relatively slow leak of air into the second chamber
-when the first and second air chamber are equal pressures the rubber band will pull the second air chamber down
-burst disk blows sending paint flying everywhere

so, I think this'll give you enough of a time delay to be a good grenade

tell me If I forgot to explain anything, or if you see anything that'll make it not work...oh ya I don't plan on useing this in a game so don't say"you can't just throw pvc around"

-thanks.

Couldn't have said it better. Seems cool though. Post a vid when it's finished.

wow, that is really cool. It looks like it would work but the burst disk would be hard to make.

wow, that could work if you had enough pressure. Just make it and try it out.

you wouldn't ever probably be able to use it at any kind of real field. since it creates a projectile of sorts when the burst disc blows. but on a renegade field, sure, sounds like a very cool idea...definitely try it.

Holy Crap! you spent way too much time thinin about this. lol

if you could somehow come up with a better idea on the bustdisk, maybe a valve instead, this could very easily make you some good money.

a real timed grenade.. not a landmine, not one that blows after it lands, but timed and reuseable... that would be awsome to have.
I would pay 50 for that if it worked good enough

I dont like this one because it'd just be too hard to make... I also don't feel like explaining how it works besides saying the paint chamber spins...

you would need to make it out of a strong material. so you have no posible chance of it breakin apart.

I'll stick with pvc for the first one.

Just use a watchama call it off an air compressor..it vent at a certain pressure, I'll think of the name later...blow off valve. that's it!
Yeh. That would work, I'm just not sure that you could ajdust it's pop pressure, orther than changing it's springs.

The only thing wrong with this is that it is unuseable. Even on an outlaw field, do you really want to get hit in the head or back with a 1/2 pound hard object? The squadbusters are popular because they are safe.
If you can figure a way to make this out of something soft and light then you could have something. Or keep your idea and make it into a big mine so that it doesn't have to be thrown.
