So, a few weeks ago I was given a very sorry looking Merlin body (Autococker), a ziplock bag full of misc. parts and was asked if I could build a Pneumatic Assist Sniper II out of it all.
Well, after two weeks of lunch breaks spent in the machine shop and a few days spent after work, here she is:
Half-Block'd w/ AutoTrigger for those sticky situations where you need the extra ROF.....
Modified MacDev bolt, custom sled, Martin SS pin & slotted hammer.
Shocktech 'bomb' 3-way, AKA SCM III LPR, SCM Ram w/ QEV's (again, ROF...
) and a modified AKA pump arm.
Modified CCM pump handle, modified AT, custom turned rods, a good amount of drilling and tapping, milling and lathing and a lot of head scratching on how to put it all together.
It still has a few kinks to iron out, considering I've never built one, but it works and most importantly, it doesn't leak. :lol:
Oh, BTW, 'Yochinaman' has promised to do away with that horrible botched nickle plating and go with some nice, polished anodizing. I've suggested
'black'... :ph34r:
to sacrificing lunch to create this beauty.
