SFL E-mag

In one week I get to see the Shoctech SFL E-mag. I'm going to my local store (invite only), where they are having a party, and vendors will be there. AGD is one of the people that will be there, and even Tom Kaye is staying to chill. I assume the SFL E-mag will be there and hope to check out this cool shiznit. I'll let you know all about it, looks how light it feels, any new changes, etc. After I get back.

As EXTREMELY interesting the new E-mags bodies are, I personally am alot more interested in the lower pressure valves being worked on.

As far as i've seen on AO, the only people that have LP valves are the Jacksonville Warriors, its not gonna be made to the public for a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're out sooner than you think.

Yes it is removable. It isn't so you can clean it easy but yet it is like the new modular bodies. You can turn the breach 90* either way so you can set up a warp feed without having the tube go to the top of your gun.

ROF is same as standard E-mag, don't know what that is, above 20 bps though isn't it?

I keep hearing buzz about a "low pressure" mag valve. I dont think there is one. First off - the automag was the original Low Pressure gun. While every one was running unregulated CO2 at 800+psi, the mag was regulating it down to 350-450psi. And it still does.

The prototype valves seen on the Jack's Warriors gun are of a different design, but I have seen them and they look to be more for shaving off weight - not for dropping the operating pressure.

I dont know what dropping the pressure on a mag would do anyway - besides suck more gas. The "Smart Box" was supposed to do that - and it just became less effecient (kinda like thier shocker).

It just seems to me that since the LP fad came out people have slowly realized its fun - but the results arent really all they are cracked up to be. Im just curiouse why people still think its something to strive for?

No man, the Jax Warriors do have LP valves, Tom Kaye the President/owner of AGD posted about them and so did a member of the warriors. Theres pictures of the guns they use and i believe they said the whole valve was aluminum instead of the half stainless/ half aluminum like the standard ReTro valves are.

Tranman - re-read those posts. Tom Kaye never boasts about it being LP. There is someone else boasting the valves are supposed to be LP. But its some guy who heard it from someone.

I am not exactly sure how one would be able to achieve a dramatic reduction in pressure - and as Tom has pointed out - making the mag run lower will just suck air and make it ineffeicient.

The valve is aluminum - which is part of the cool thing. It really does lighten it all up. I got to mess with one at IAO. The repositioning of the battery pack is nice too.

Ok Ill try to clear this up.

There is a VERSION of the new Alumium Valve that Jax has that is a tad lower in operting pressure.

This is NOT a standard option of the new valve, and only a few of the Jax guys have the LP mod to the valve.

They in the Past they have also had LP RT valves and Classic valves.

As a sponcered team they do get some of those perks as in a limited run a LP valves or what ever.

Running a mag at lower the 350 psi and you start just sucking up more gas and lossing energy. Thats why LP mag mods went the way of the of the Dino.

Personally I have never had any problem shooting any kind of paint out of my mags once I had them set up right to handle the paint.

I have shot Evil ( the classic stuff not this wussy crap they sell now ) , HellFire Imperial and now Ultra Evil and I never have problems getting it out the end of the tube.

So going LP means very very little, in the grand outlook.

Spend the time and money on better barrles and more paint to pratice with....

Robs right about it all

The new SFLs will have battery pack milling, a aluminum valve (or so I've heard from people on AO) and of course, the DYE Ultralite.

Retail will be $1425 for the solid colors.

The weight will be like 2.6-7lbs with the alum valve and new milling.
