anyone from NC?

I was wondering if any of you were from North Carolina. If you are, do you play on a team? And if you play on a team, what series/tournaments are you going to play this year? Just wondering. I play at gotcha paintball near Wake Forest. I've never seen a BE gun out there. It's all extremely good players, or guys with rentals.

For a NC tourny series check out the CFOA or Carolina Field Owners Association. Just search for it on google.

I am from Durham, North Carolina. I live in Alabama for school though. my team, HOD plays in the BRUTS series. both of us own BE guns.

I am also the webmaster of the Rainmaker Owners Group over at http://rainmaker.flipty.com if you own a rainmaker.

I'm from Raleigh. My team is playing BRUTS. It's going to be a good series. I'm looking forward to it. I just don't like how they're going to alternate the 5 man and the 3 man tourneys. My 3 man team is pretty darn good, and my 5 man team is alright. I wish they had a 3 man series, and a 5 man series, and the 2 were seperate. That way if your 3 man is doing really well, but your 5 man sucks, your 3 man team could take 1st for the series, and your 5 man take last in theirs. But with it combined, if your 3 man wins every tourney it's in, but your 5 man comes in last in every one of the 5 mans, you'll end up somewhere in the middle. Probably.

Kevmaster, have you guys already registered for the Feb. tourney? I can't believe it's only 2 weeks away. My team will be up at Gotcha a week from this Saturday. If your team wanted to come out, maybe we could scrimmage. My team could use soem good preseason competition. We just go out to Gotcha and basically play rec ball, and win every game. We scrimmaged part of Tantrum and beat them, but when Josh got out there, they kicked out butt. But yeah, we'd love it if you guys could come out and we could get some scrimmages in.

Yep, it's still me. I doubt we'll be able to get up to PBC on Feb. 16 since we've already agreed to play at Gotcha on Feb. 15. I'll see what the guys want to do. If you're able to get a registration form for that feb. 23 tourney, let me know how you got it. I e-mailed allen and he never wrote me back. Their store never seems to be open when I go by there. I've heard registration is 225, but I can't seem to get my hands on a registration form. I hope to get to play some good games with you and your team this year. I think this'll be a good series, with some pretty good competition.

Yeah, when all that crap happened, I decided it would be better to simply leave the forum instead of having to sit around and constantly argue over what happened. I shipped him something, and it was worth about 12 bucks, new. It was used. When I shipped it, I didn't put insurance on it because it wasn't worth anything. Well, he says he never got it, and decided that I was a dick and never shipped it to him. So, he went around telling everyone not to do any trades with me because I would rip them off. Even though I had probably 10 successful trades on STING, and I bet I've had 20-30 successful ones between pbnation and Angel Owners Group. Ok, maybe he really never did get it, and if he didn't, I'm sorry for that. But at the same time, it was worth 12 bucks new! He paid me like 35-40 bucks for a stingray 1, an elbow, a hopper, and a remora. I forgot to send the remora the first time, and ocnec he e-mailed me and complained about it, I shipped it out 2-3 days later. He says he never got it. And this was back in the day when stingrray 2s were still like 105 bucks at wal-mart. So, even if he didn't get his remora, I don't think he has much room to complain. But, he decided to go around and trash me, sent me quite a few threatening e-mails, all over something that probably only had about 5 dollars worth of value. I decided just to leave STING and forget about it rather than sitting there and arguing with him, and always putting up with his negative comments. So, I bought an angel and joined AOG So yeah, that's my side of the story, which I'm sure you nor anyone else has ever heard.

Also kevin, what tournies has your team played in together? And how long have you guys played together? I'm trying to figure out exactly what the whole "no ametuer or pro players" thing means. I once heard that if you had played tournament paintball more than 2 years, you were considered ametuer. Is that the rule BR is using when they say no ametuer players?

i think in NPPL(the rules they use) its 3 years experience = am level player. Nobody on our team has more than 1 right now

I talked to a guy who has been playing for about 5 years, and he said he is still considered novice. I don't think anyone really knows how it all works

Yeah, that's how I'm looking at it. I don't really care who's on the other teams. If my team somehow won it, I wouldn't want to think that the only reason we won is because they wouldn't let any good players in the series. That would ruin the good feeling from winning it. I can understand not wanting extremely good teams to be there, but I think as long as some part of the team is new, that should be good enough. 1 good guy on a team with 4 crappy players isn't going to win the series. Is HOD planning on playing the entire series? All the 5 mn tournies, and all the 3 man?
