If I remember correctly, he said that he is not an X-ball fan, and that it is just too repetetive (spelling?)

really, having glenn and baines back would be good for them... even tho they really dont need more players, it would be a good pickup...

Ed doesn't want any more guys from cali, it's too much of a hassle for practices and whatnot.

Makes perfect sense, I see this trend of having out of state or fly in players going away, the cost involved is too great and can't be good for team "bonding", and its even better that Ed has settled on a MW squad it brings stability too the team and also there is a TON of talent in the MW.

wow, i agree with almost no one.

fighterpaintball - yes we can, money isn't the issue.

mwk - really? i disagree, baines is the man... but who would he be replacing?

deputydan - good point.

afp - i'd say the most reliable source other than ed, so yea.

tscruggs - i agree with everything except for the ton of talent in the MW. there really isn't anymore, and if there is, please contact me (i'm dead serious) because we desperately need someone to practice who will make us better.

sorry if this seems *****y, i just dislike when commentary is mistaken for insider info/fact.

If the MW could hold teams together it may be able to get and act together. Obviously avalanche is one of the ( i didn't say only) teams that has managed to so.

Ya'll just need a feeder team that can atleast give you a little push, just my opinion.

Where you guys playin at the next couple weeks? big B wont answer me.

I used to work for warped sportz in KC.

I heard the words "We can't afford to fly 10-11 players to PSP and still do the NPPL" straight out of Ed's mouth. Its not a bad thing or a flame, just the truth. I wouldn't attend both leagues either if I owned a team. Look at Legion the richest team in paintball history, you have to commit to one style of play if you want to be competitive, especially as a mid-level team like avalanche.

fighterpaintball - the money could be there if we wanted it to be. as in, eclipse would step up sponsorship to have us play both leagues; which they would like to see us do. unfortunately, playing both leagues means having little or no life/job. the only way to truly do both is to practice both just as hard. a lot of teams that do both suck at one format. since almost none of us respect the psp you can guess what might happen. i agree with you that committing to one format (like the legion) is a better path to success. it's just really hard to do both if you're not getting paid an actual salary. i'd love to do nothing but play paintball but i have to work m-f to pay the bills... so for now, one format.

mwk - i wasn't so much worried about baines replacing me or brock (which i guess is who it would be since he usually places corner) because i don't see that as a problem of our team. not to say i'm that great, i'm not, brock however, is. our back line is actually a strong point of our team. so much so that (and i'm sorry if i'm getting technical here for those of you who don't know all the players... which would be kind of creepy if you did) i don't think andy should play back. me and brock in the corners, tommy back center, adam/erik in the snake with ben right behind them, marshal up the center, topped off with andy, danny, and mayo wrecking people somewhere... that's a killer squad (of 9 people). i think we have all the talent we need, we just need to figure out how to use it. it took us 8 events as Farside to make the finals and 9 to win an event, so far we've played 5 pro tournaments. the difference in pro is that you don't have time to gel as a team. the pressure is always there to perform. parting thoughts; anyone remember xsv's first season? they sucked.

jake - don't even get me started. i'm not making fun of you but why would ed take on a team that went... 1-7? was that it? he's already got our 4-4's and 5-3's to deal with.

Logan, its there, its just hiding, but seriously here in Ohio, there are a few decent teams, and thats where my knowledge of MW teams ends. And we like it when you keep it to the point, too many times on nation commentary is mistaken for FACT. Logan as far as teams to practice against, most of them can't afford to play you, travel alone is out of the budget of half the teams, and the other half don't play 7-man, and if they do, not too well as they are trying to be an "Xball" team and "smash".
